On February 1, A-PAD Japan participated in the Saga city disaster drill exercise held in Kubota, Saga. A-PAD Japan exhibited its activities on panel displays and hosted a disaster preparedness pop quiz and raffle drawing.
A-PAD Japan presented its assistance activities during last year's Saga heavy rain disaster, Typhoon No.19 (Hagibis), and on-going new coronavirus outbreak. A-PAD Japan also presented the trailers it lent out during the disasters.
Participants also enjoyed a disaster preparedness quiz and raffle drawing. A-PAD Japan gave away lanterns, LED lights, and whistles that can be used during emergencies, as well as original merchandise as prizes.
A-PAD Japan is aiming to raise community awareness on disaster preparedness through events and workshops.
