In response to the widespread COVID-19 infections in Japan, on February 25, ARROWS began distributing 170,000 surgical masks to medical facilities across Japan. The masks have been distributed to partner hospitals with which ARROWS has a cooperative agreement on disaster assistance and to 137 other medical and welfare facilities that sent us a request form online. These facilities are not only large hospitals but also smaller clinics and welfare facilities with elderly patients.
"We were considering scaling down our medical operation because our regular mask delivery stopped."
"We have many seriously ill elderly patients. We are fighting every day to prevent infections."
"We were running out of masks in the clinic. Your assistance lifted our spirits."
We have received many thank you notes from the medical facilities.
As the coronavirus threat is growing, ARROWS will continue providing necessary assistance to prevent further infections.
◆ A-PAD Japan is accepting donations to prevent further spread of COVID-19 pneumonia. Thank you very much for your generous support.
