In response to the spread of COVID-19 infections in Japan, from March 4-6, A-PAD Japan distributed 32,000 surgical masks to 92 after school day care centers and nurseries in Saga.
The masks had been stored in a warehouse in case of emergencies. A-PAD Japan decided to donate a part of the stockpile to the day care facilities which were requested to stay open even though public schools were asked to close due to coronavirus concerns. Teachers who received the masks voiced their concerns that it was getting difficult to procure masks and disinfectants.
Rumors over a shortage of toilet paper and diapers fueled people to panic buy these products. On March 5, A-PAD Japan distributed 200 boxes of diapers to 13 children's facilities in Saga.
◆ A-PAD Japan is accepting donations to prevent further spread of COVID-19 pneumonia. Thank you very much for your generous support.
