On April 24, Airborne Rescue & Relief Operations With Search (ARROWS) donated two air tents to Shiroishi Kyouritsu Hospital in Saga to be used as triage posts.
While there is no end in sight for the spread of COVID-19, hospitals must equip themselves for possible confirmed cases. The hospital plans to isolate confirmed patients brought to the hospital and provide initial assessments at triage posts set up in the parking lot. By doing this, the hospital separates the infected patients from the general population and prevents cluster infections in the hospital.
On April 23, the first case of cluster infections in Saga appeared and the number of confirmed cases in the prefecture reached 28 people.
ARROWS also donated similar air tents to Saga University Hospital on April 22 and 24.
