On April 20, ARROWS distributed 114,000 masks to 526 medical facilities through the Tokyo Medical Association. ARROWS also provided 2,000 medical gowns to the association.
Front line medical and welfare facilities are prioritized when it comes to provision of medical equipment such as masks given by the government or local municipalities. However, smaller clinics are having difficulty accessing assistance from the authorities.
As a result, ARROWS targeted smaller clinics for distribution. The mask distribution included those donated by partner organizations in China where ARROWS provided emergency assistance when the outbreak was at its worst in China.
◆ A-PAD Japan is accepting donations to prevent further spread of COVID-19. Thank you very much for your generous support.
