【Typhoon No.15】Ongoing Needs Assessment

Due to Typhoon No.15, Chiba Prefecture is experiencing power and water outages. On September 11, Peace Winds Japan (PWJ), a member of the Airborne Rescue and Medical Team, has dispatched two helicopters and a medical team including two doctors to the Chiba Hokusoh Hospital. The headquarters of a local Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) is located at the hospital. A-PAD Japan is gathering information together with PWJ.
Currently there is no end in sight for the recovery of infrastructure including electricity. The temperature and humidity is getting high and precaution must be taken to avoid heatstrokes. If you are in the affected areas, please take extra precaution.
