Saga Prefecture Heavy Rain - Delivered Oranges to Evacuation Centers in Takeo City and Omachi Town

Improving Vitamin Deficiency

September 5 marks a week since the record levels of heavy rain in northern Kyushu and many evacuees have not received enough fresh vegetables and fruits. A-PAD Japan delivered 10 boxes of mandarin oranges (50kg) to the elderly welfare center Choju-en in Takeo City, the Omachi community center, and the Omachi welfare center.

Japan Agricultural Cooperatives Saga supported the distribution of oranges.

Improving Vitamin Deficiency

The oranges were served together with hot meals prepared by volunteers.
