【Kyushu Heavy Rain 2020 Floods Assistance】A-PAD Japan Dispatches Emergency Assistance Team to Affected Areas in Kumamoto

Heavy rain in Kumamoto and Kagoshima Prefectures has left some families searcing for their loved ones, flooded homes, and the damage may spread further. In the afternoon of July 4, A-PAD Japan's emergency assistance team departed to the affected areas in Kumamoto carrying relief items including manuals on evacuation center management (50 books), masks (9,000 for adults, 1,800 for children), disinfectants (14 bottles/500ml, 1 bottle/20liters), non-contact thermometers (30 items), beverages (1,260), toiletries (400 items), and magnifiers (200 items). A-PAD Japan plans to coordinate with the local municipalities, conduct needs assessments, and provide evacuation center assistance.
