【Kyushu Heavy Rain 2020 Floods Assistance】Medical Assistance in Kumamoto

July 4-5, ARROWS provided medical assistance in Kuma Athletic Park including prescribing medications. The team also assisted patient transfer operations from a flooded nursing home, Senjuen, to nearby hospitals and treated 20 patients awaiting transfer.
Senjuen became stranded on early July 4 after flood water gushed into the facility. ARROWS joined the Self Defense Force and Japan Coast Guard to assist patient transfer operations via vehicle as the ARROWS' doctor carefully examined each patient.
